Dr. Bhushan is a Professor of Pharmacology at Idaho State
University College of Pharmacy. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees
at the University of Delhi, in India and completed his Ph.D. at Punjab
Agricultural University, India. Dr. Bhushan spent six years as a
Research Associate and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department
of Pharmacology and Vermont Regional Cancer Center, University of
Vermont, Burlington, Vermont.
Dr. Bhushan's primary research interests are in signal trandsuction and
cancer chemotherapy. His research has focused on determining the
mechanisms that make cells survive the toxic effects of drugs
used in the treatment of cancer. He works with methotrexate, cisplatin,
and adriamycin in treatment of leukemia and breast cancer. He is also
interested in finding drugs that can stop the invasion of glioblastoma,
a type of brain tumor that has very poor prognosis.
Dr. Bhushan has several publications, reviews, and abstracts to his
credit.
