- What are the CE requirements for pharmacists
in the state of Idaho?
Pharmacists are required to complete fifteen hours (1.5 CEU) of
CE annually. Licensure renewal takes place each year on June 30.
Currently Idaho pharmacists are required to obtain the following:
- A minimum of eight clock hours (0.8
CEU) will be all or a combination of ACPE or CME approved
programs
- Non-ACPE Approved. A maximum of six clock hours
(0.6 CEU) may be non-approved programs. Be sure to obtain
documentation that you attended the program, such as a CE certificate.
- Pharmacy Law - One clock hour (0.1 CEU) must be Board of
Pharmacy approved.
- Live Attendance. Three clock hours (0.3 CEU) must be obtained
by attendance at live continuing education programs.
- How long will it take to receive my CE certificate
after completion of a program?
Certificates are mailed 4 to 6 weeks after the date of the seminar.

Can the home correspondence programs be used
by health care professionals other than pharmacists?
These programs are designed for the pharmacy profession,
but may also meet continuing education requirements for nurses,
nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health
care professionals.
