The medical terminology exams for PHAR 941, Introduction to Pharmacy Practice I, will be available on the Internet from 11:55 a.m. MDT on Saturday, June 14, 2008 until 11:55 p.m. MDT on Friday, August 15, 2008 for recently admitted P-1 students. You may take them in any order, but you cannot take an exam more than once.
The examinations will be available via the College of Pharmacy Moodle system.
How to Use Moodle
- You will need to know your College of Pharmacy Username and Password. These were included in the correspondence that you should receive soon, if you have not already received it. If you need help with your COP Username or Password, please contact, Matt Cummins, mcummins@pharmacy.isu.edu
- Login to the College of Pharmacy Moodle site.
- After you have successfully entered Moodle, you should see a list of Course categories. Click on the link to P1 Courses.
- On the P1 Courses page, click on the link to Medical Terminology Exams 2008.
- On the right side of the Medical Terminology Exams page, you'll see some introductory remarks followed by links to the eleven exams. The eleven sections contain exams that cover two chapters in the book.
- On the left side of the page is a link to your grades. You can see all of your exam scores by following the Grades link. You must score at least 70% on each exam in order to successfully complete this portion of PHAR 941, Introduction to Pharmacy Practice I. The grades report also includes your total score for the course. This part of the grades is not as important to you. Your individual scores for each exam are what matters. If you view the Total Stats column, you need to know that Moodle starts the total at 0 points and adds your points to the total as you complete each exam. Your total stats percentage will be low until you have completed all of the exams.
Taking the Exams
- From the list of exams, click on the link to exam you would like to complete.
- Read ALL of the instructions very carefully. Once you begin the exam, you must complete it within the time limit (30 minutes). A timer will appear at the top of your screen. It is NOT possible to start an exam, close it, and return to it later.
- You will see one question at a time. The "Marks:" area tells how many points out of 100 the question is worth. While taking the exam you can return to a question by clicking on the page number.
- Once you have selected your answer, click on "Save without submitting". After you save your answer, you'll need to click "(Next)" to go to the next question.
- After you have answered and saved all of the questions, click on the "Submit all and finish" button.
- You should see a dialogue box that warns you that you will no longer be able to change your answers if you continue. Click"OK" to submit your answers for grading or "Cancel" to return to the exam.
- After submitting your exam, you may see a page with a link to "Continue." Ignore this page and wait for your exam results to appear.
- After receiving your score you can either "(Logout)" or click on "Med_Term_Exams" to return to the main page.
- If you have difficulty accessing the exams, please contact Marty Welch at marty@pharmacy.isu.edu
