Preparing Leaders in Pharmacy
Welcome to the Idaho State University College of Pharmacy website. You are visiting our site at an exciting time of expansion and advancement in pharmacy practice.
The College of Pharmacy has a long history at Idaho State University. Founded in 1918, the College of Pharmacy was the first college on the ISU campus in Pocatello. We recently opened a second site at the LS Skaggs ISU-Meridian Health Sciences Complex in southwestern Idaho. The entire Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program can now be completed in Pocatello at Leonard Hall or in Meridian at the LS Skaggs Complex. With faculty at both centers and all classes taught using distance learning, students at both sites are able to interact with faculty and with one another.
If you are a pharmacist with a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy who is looking for a flexible option to complete your PharmD, you have come to the right place. In addition to the traditional program, we offer a nontraditional route to the PharmD degree. More than 260 students across the United States and the world have completed this program. We also offer graduate programs in the pharmaceutical sciences. Our graduate program, leading to a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences, has a long and productive history.
Indeed, we are Preparing Leaders in Pharmacy. We remain committed to the preparation and advancement of pharmacy practitioners and pharmaceutical scholars. Our programs prepare students to face the future. Our students develop clinical problem-solving skills and are engaged in their own education. We expect them to make a commitment to continual enhancement of their patient-centered care skills as lifelong learners. Our success in reaching this goal is embodied in the remarkable achievements of our alumni.
If you are an alumnus, we welcome you. Your personal and professional contributions to pharmacy serve to inspire our students. It is by your example that future pharmacists learn the meaning of caring, kindness and compassion. It is through your dedication and commitment that future pharmacists learn the importance of leadership. Please keep us informed of your successes. You are always welcome. You are family.
