Admissions to the Doctor of Pharmacy Program is competitive. A minimum of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in all higher education course work is required to apply. The online application is at https://pharmacy.isu.edu/application. Please note that all communication with the College of Pharmacy regarding the application process must be from the individual applying.

The Pharmacy Student Affairs Committee is charged with selecting candidates who best demonstrate the academic achievement, emotional maturity, integrity, and motivation necessary for success in the College of Pharmacy. Students admitted must possess the mental, emotional, and physical abilities to complete the curriculum and ultimately perform the functions of a generalist pharmacy graduate. These professional technical standards are essential to ensure that students are capable of achieving the basic competencies in pharmacy practice adopted by the College. Prepharmacy requirements must be completed by the end of the spring term of the year the applicant is applying. Biochemistry may be completed the summer prior to program entry.

Application Deadline

All application materials ($55 application fee, three recommendations and official transcripts) must be received by February 1st of the year that you plan to attend.
Pharmacy Experience
Applicants are strongly encouraged to obtain actual pharmacy experience prior to applying for admissions to the Doctor of Pharmacy program.  Pharmacy experience can be gained through shadowing, volunteering or working at a pharmacy.
