A Brief History of Phi Delta Chi

Our Professional Pharmacy Fraternity, founded on November 2, 1883 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, is an association formed to advance the science of pharmacy and allied interests, and to foster and promote a fraternal spirit among brothers. Throughout the years, Phi Delta Chi members have contributed positively to their schools and to pharmacy. Phi Delta Chi brothers have also gained immeasurably from their experiences in the Fraternity. It provides a chance for greater involvement in both professional and social activities. It allows them to interact with brothers from all over the country. It encourages development of leadership abilities and at the same time, teaches that every member of the group has a valuable contribution to make. Most importantly Phi Delta Chi promotes a spirit of Brotherhood and establishes ties that are not soon severed. The Fraternity has chartered 72 collegiate chapters, - Alpha thru Beta Omega - and numerous alumni chapters.  More than 50,000 men & women have proudly called themselves Brothers of Phi Delta Chi.
