1. Find the My Network Places icon and right click on it. Select
properties from the dropdown list. This will open up the Network
and Diaup Connections window.
2. Find the ISU dialup (or if you haven't set it up yet, go ahead
and get it set up first). Right click on the ISU dialup Icon (it
may have a different name) and select Properties. (You'll note in
the example it says "status unavailabe-device missing"
you shouldn't have that problem. I just didn't have a modem in my
machine when I made this example).

3. Next click on the Networking tab on the top and then select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then select the properties button.

4. Next click on the Advanced Button. You shouldn't have to make
any changes to this first section, it should remain set to obtain
the DNS and IP addresses automatically.
5. Next click on the WINS tab up top, and then on the Add... button
about a third of the way down the page. It will open another smaller
box that says TCP/IP WINS Server and has a spot to enter an IP address.
You will need to enter two numbers into the WINS section for the
primary and secondary WINS server. First enter 134.50.8.59,
and then hit the Add button for the new smaller box that you entered
the IP into.

6.Next click on the DNS tab at the top. Click on the Add... button
near the top of the screen and enter 134.50.254.5 into the box that
pops up and hit the Add button.

7. Next you need to change your workgroup the computer thinks you
are in. Right click on the My Computer Icon and select properties.
Next click on the Network Identification tab on the top of the window
that pops up and click on the Properties button.
8. On the window that pops up, make sure that Workgroup is selected,
and then change the name of the workgroup to PHARMACY and click
on OK. The computer name will not matter for using dialup.

9. Dial into ISU and you should now be able to access the PHARMACY
workgroup and OTC from the My Network Places icon (you will have
to browse to find it). Keep in mind that you will NOT have an F
drive doing this, you have to double click on OTC and find the homes
drive. The homes drive is your F drive, but when you access it from
home this way it works just a little different. The process of browsing
your files will be noticably slower than when you access files from
ISU, so be aware of that.
If all else fails please call Matt Cummins at 208.282.2627. If
it is after hours leave a message and Matt will follow up with you
as soon as possible. Also, you may stop by his office in LH107.
