Engagement of Miss Gustin and Tom Cady announced. The forthcoming marriage of Miss Shirley Gustin, nurse at the Grants Congregational Hospital, to Mr. Tom Cady of the Thrifty Drug Store of Grants was announced this week on Thursday evening.The announcement was made at an informal dinner given at the home of Reverend and Mrs David Zaccharias. Present at the dinner besides the couple and the host and hostess were Mr. and Mrs. William J. Malloy and Steve Cady,brother of Tom, who is on vacation from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Miss Gustin has been in Grants for nearly a year and has been in charge of the Grants Hospital as a registered nurse. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Orin Gustin of Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Cady came to Grants to assume manager ship of the Thrifty Drug Co. was previously in Panama as a pharmacist. His parents, Mr and Mrs. William Cady, reside at Clarkdale, Arizona. The marriage has been scheduled for July 25, and will take place in McNary, Az.

Shirley in my life was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Strong willed but very caring and giving, she was wanting to assist and help any one in need. Her nursing experience made her available to help the sick. She was very loyal and supported me in all my projects.
