| Her life in Painesville, Ohio, detailed in the compilation by Bob Cox pages 6 - 7 - 8. Caroline Jones and her husband James Olds and five children came to Jonesville. ----------------------------------------------------------------- From Jones Genealogy came with parents to Painesville, Ohio, in 1808 taught school in Chagrin married James Olds by her father, Justibe-of-peace, Benaiah Jones They went to Jonesville in 1830 She was not strong and too energetic After her husband died she went to Texas to be with her son. James and other living relatives there. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Found in notes in the Jonesville Public Library On Feb. 4 1848 James Olds departed this life and soon afterwards Caroline went to Adrian to work in a fancy goods and millinery shop but she could not leave her mother long and in less than two months was back in Jonesville. Some years lated James Olds Jr. followed his uncle Beneiah to Texas, persuaded his mother to come to him and there Catherine Jones died on Sept 14, 1866 |
