| Not much is known of him but he must have been in Texas as in the will of Benaiah Jones he mentioned that Linnaeus had already received his share. This presumed to be before the Civil War when lore says that he sent three of his sons back with $ 1,300.00 each ---------------------------------------------------------------- From notes of R.M. Powers Jr. the 1950 census in Texas shows him in Texas, aged 28 living on property adjoining his father. When Benaiah died his will said tha Linnaeus had received his share of the estate. He had lived a neighbor of Benaiah for at least 11 years.He did have a wife but there no known knowlege of her |
