| Notes from R.M.Powers Jr. He was the eldest son, at an early age when they went to Jonesville he helped build the log cabin. Then when Benaiah went to Texas helping make expenses on the way. Then helped his father getting started in Texas In 1851 he bought part of his father's ranch and was married with a son. The 1860 census asked if anyone in the household had died in the prior 12 months. This caused the following note " Croesus Banaiah Jones died March of 1860 in Grimes Co. Texas of pneumonia. Benaiah Jones settled his estate and it was noted that he had already received his share of Banaiah 's estate. His widow later married Joe Love and lived in Robertson Co.
