Dr. Michelle Steed is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Idaho State University. She then completed a Pharmacotherapy Residency with Idaho State University Department of Family Medicine. She then joined the ISU pharmacy faculty and later obtained her Certified Diabetes Educator certificate.

Dr. Steed established an Ambulatory Care practice site in Coeur d'Alene for her first several years of practice,  where she precepted students on their clerkship rotations and was an advisor for senior seminars. She provided services to a Dirne Community Health Center, Kootenai Medical Center Internal Medicine, and the local VA outpatient clinic. She consulted on a variety of conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anticoagulation therapy, mental health, pain management, and polypharmacy management.

She then moved to Idaho Falls and established an Adult Medicine site at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. In addition to precepting pharmacy students, she is also designated as the Residency Coordinator for the PGY1 residency at the hospital where she is also the preceptor for the project, internal medicine, and cardiology rotations.  She works as well with all the local area residents to precept them on a teaching certificate program.  

When spare time comes about, she enjoys competing in agility trials with her dogs and training them.
