Dr. Rhodes is Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Science at Idaho State University College of Pharmacy. He earned his B.S. in Biology at Mercer University, B.S.Pharm at Florida A&M (Graduated with High Honors) University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Mercer Southern School  of Pharmacy (Graduated with High Honors). He completed an ASHP Clinical Pharmacy Residency at the VA Medical Center in Denver, Colorado and a two year Geriatric Research Fellowship in conjunction with the VA Medical Center and the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in Denver, Colorado.

His clinical activity is in the field of gerontology and has served as clinical consultant pharmacist at the VA Nursing Home-Pocatello since 1991 and from 1991 to 2002 he served as Director of Pharmacy Services. His research interest are predominantly in the field of gerontology and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters in this area. His scholarship includes over fifty peer reviewed publications and abstracts and numerous book chapters. He has also been principal investigator on over fifteen research and contract grants. He was also co-principal investigator on a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services for a Certificate Program in Geriatric Pharmacy for Practicing Pharmacist and Pharmacy Students.

Dr. Rhodes is course coordinator for P4 Senior Seminar, Survey on Aging Issues and Pharmacology for Nursing.
